Everything, anything, nothing..
Haiz.. i have become inspiration-less. it's been such a long time since i last blogged. however, i do not know what to blog about. yet, i think i have so much stuff to blog about, but i dunno which subject i should talk about. so, i shall talk about everything. yet nothing..
Firstly, i juz finished reading a book titled "Why women cry and why men lie." Personally i think it is quite an interesting book as it acts like a dictionary that explains the weird things guys and girls(notably) do. i recommend this book to anyone who like me, has a major headache on understanding the weird behaviours of the opposite sex.
However, i was in a bookshop the other day and saw that there books basically on EVERYTHING!!! It's like they got books on how to make friends, how to cook, how to manage people, how to kiss(ok, i made this one up, but it could be in the book shop, juz that i didn't see.) etc. Then i was thinking, are people that reliant on books to teach them everything? if the answer is yes, how bout all those people who are illiterate? how bout all those people who lived in the past? they dun have many books to help them. how did they lived? think about this..
Then as the week passed by, i started to think that academic results doesn't matter much. the only reason it matters is becoz the society made it to matter. anyone without a piece of paper that says"u graduated" is deem as a failure. see? this is the kind of world we live in. how sad..
I guess i shall stop here now coz it's getting a bit lengthy and i muz keep my KISS(keep it short and sweet){adapted from a teacher in school} policy. keep reflecting everyone!
The "Holy" Generation: Standing hairs and revealing butts
Hello people. i am finally here to update my blog and bring to all of u this special edition of "henryandlife" entry. well, wat is it about? it is about a special group of people in this world that u will see everyday in most places. who are they? maybe i should give more descriptions. they are mostly age 13 to 25, have a very unique taste in fashion and dressing and they are all around me. if u are wondering why this description is so famailiar, this is probably this applies to you. YOU are part of the "holy generation"!!!
In this case, holy does not mean holy in the spiritual sense. it means in the number of holes on your body sense. wait! dun let ur thought stray to places where u are not suppose to. my holes refers to those man made. GIRLS(sorry girls, i am targetting u again.), are the best group of people to represent the "holy" generation. take a walk on any street, it will be unlikely for u to come across a girl with no holes on her ears. and i dun mean the hole that was already there. i'm talking bout those that were painfully drilled through the flesh of their ear. yup.. sounds gross but it is unfortunately true. and u know wat's the real problem? they like it! oh my god.. wat kind of monstrous creature like to have holes drilled into them. guys, dun start smirking now. coz u are guilty of these crazy acts too. and it doesn't juz stop at ears, they go all the way to tongues, belly button and some other parts of your body that is inappropriate to mention here. how "holy"...
now most of u wud understand the standing hiars part already. now i am talking bout guys. statistics has shown that guys in this generation uses like around 1000kg of hair gel per year!(i made up the numbers by the way..) How scary is that? that is like the amount of pee that comes out of me in 2 years? incredible. so, once again, u can take a walk on any street and it will be unlikely not to see any guys with standing hairs on their head.
now let's go their dressing. revealing butts. the current trend for guys is to wear ur pants as low as possible, and for girls to wear their skirts as short as possible. so, most of u would understand that, if u wear ur pants so low, and given the age these people are in now. it wud be impossible for them to walk like someone walking across a minefield. so, often, with the wind blowing at their shirts, u get to see everything under it. thinks like calvin klein, pokka dots, rainbow stripes and other artistic pieces with curves. erm.. for girls, i shall not talk to much about it, if not no girls will dare to come near me. but u get the idea.
so, the "holy" generation.
How "holy"...
Architects of our future, Our light in the dark, or simply, suckers
Well, most of u wud have guessed it already. i am talking about our lovable, someone u will see for the majority of a student life, yes, teachers. I have totally nothing against teachers. Serious. I love them from the bottom of my heart. yup.. so much so that i always compare them with simon cowell from american idol, and nigel from "so u think u can dance". jokes aside, teachers play a major role in the lives of anyone who had gone to school. so those of u who had not gone to school and are reading this page, stay away. coz u might not be keen to go to school after u finish reading this entry. anyway, teachers teach us loads of stuff. although largely irrelevant to our future lives, they still teach alot. so we muz give them the credit for that. BUT, some teachers juz (the red word without the 'er')
why do i say that? let me tell u guys(and gals) a story. last week, my school was holding a physical fitness test. the girls, were suppose to run a particular distance and their timing were taken. One of my frenz, ran. ran like as if a pack of hounds were behind her. therefore, she did well. and we were all damn proud of her. but sadly, teachers BEING teachers, does not believe that students can improve. To them, Confucius said " a failure will always be a failure." so, this very sweet and interesting teacher said "i'm sorry man, the force wasn't with you, u can't run that fast, u muz have ran one lap less, re run girl, the tribe has spoken, u are the last team to arrive, u are eliminated" and whatever famous quotes from the other reality shows.
Think about it, u put in all your effort and did ur best. all u hope is that ur achievements are recognised. then, some weirdo comes to u and say "hey! u are on candid camera. no count." i am sorry man teachers, but that really (the red word without the 'er') the main thing we students want to do is to improve. that's why we go to school for. ok, i might not know the exact happenings of the incident so i am juz saying all this from my point of view. if we students dun pur in our best efort and therefore fails, u scream at us. if we put in our best effort and succeed. u still scream at us. y? becoz we were suppose to fail, but we didn't. rubbish. crap.
Therefore, to my fren and all my fellow students out there, do not be disheartened by whatever negative stuff others say to you, regardless are they teachers, frenz or whatever. stay strong, and always believe in urself, coz the only person in the world who needs to know u can do it is: You.
