Henry Lamer and the "Very" Interesting Conversation (Part 2)



hi everyone.. i'm back again when i am suppose to be studying.. but never mind.. coz i got the inspiration to blog.. so shan't deprive you guys the chance to read my entries.. anyway, juz wanna say that although the title is the same, BUT it will a complete contrast from that entry.. there will be no "bery shellfish" or pink singlet uncles.. it will not be as colourful either.. it will juz be the two words u see at the picture above.. yup.. i'm kinda doing some reflection.. so bear wif me if u wan.. BUT, kids will be involved though..





anyway, i was juz on my way home this afternoon.. and once again, i was on the bus.. and more coincidentally, it was the same bus.. (i mean the number).. and as the bus was approaching my primary sch, a girl from the primary school boarded the bus.. she was on her way to sch ba.. afternoon session.. anyway, i kinda looked at her for awhil BUT NOT BECOZ I LIKE HER!! anyway, coz mainly she was from my primary sch and she was juz standing in my view la..





Btw, this entry will be quite long..





Let me describe her a bit.. her fringe was till her eyebrows.. and the rest of her hair is like a mophead.. she has nice facial features and she wore specs.. so i juz looked at her while recalling my childhood.. den, she looked at me and saw me looking at her.. this happened a couple of times.. and i think she most probably would think that i am a paedophile if she know what that is in the first place.. imagine if she join spell cast..

Girl: Er.. P.. do.. file! *smiles happily*


Well, anyway.. ya.. but no.. looking at her kinda made me reflect.. as in i was going thru my head, "does she know who she will become in the future?" its like its amazing how much people can change.. A girl like her, and there are probably millions like her.. they wun know how they will grow up to be like.. not only girls.. boys too..

Boys for example.. Do you know that boys, their hair? were gelled by their parents when they were young? Gentlemen reading this blog, i trust that u are at least 15.. would YOU now let ur parents gelled ur hair?

And the thing is.. some of u may not even know its called hair gel..

Boy: Mamee, wat u doing to my hair?
Mum, ah boy ah.. i putting this on ur hair den u can look more handsome in sch..
Boy: *thinks awhile, den smile smugly*

And the only thing he heard was "look more handsome"...

Den he will go to sch.. den his friends will ask him:

Friend: hey sam! how come your hair sticking up ah?
Sam: er.. my mummy say i will look more handsome..
Friend: let me touch your hair can? pls pls? one time only..
Sam, erm.. ok

Den the friend will touch the hair, realise its hard and a little sticky.. Den he will spread this conversation to the rest of the class..

Friend: Hey.. sam de hair hor.. is sticky and hard one leh.. den he say more handsome..
Friend 2: eh... when u use glue hor.. also sticky and will become hard one rite?

Den after recess, the bookshop auntie announced that all glue has been sold out..


its so strange that we, as kids still did such funny stuff.. I still rmb the classic stuff..

Naughty boy runs and fell down..

Friend A: haha.. who tell u take my pencil just now nvr ask me.. now u fall down.. HA HA! ORHBIQUEK/ORHBIGOOD!!!

yeah.. that were the old times.. can u imagine u say orhbiquek at your age now?

10 yrs later..

Friend A: haha.. serve you rite for taking my stuff without asking me man.. ORHBIQUEK!!

I cannot imagine...

And of course, as kids, girls and boys sitting together, holding hands were the norm..

Teacher: Class, line up in twos.. we are going to the hall now for assembly.. KEEP QUIET!!! PUT YOUR FINGER TO YOUR LIPS!! (another classic..) ok.. hold hands and lets go..

Den u see every class doing the same thing.. can u imagine urself doing that now?

10 yrs later..

Teachers: class, line up in twos, we are going for assembly.. KEEP QUIET!! PUT YOUR FINGERS ON YOUR LIPS!! hold hands and go..
Class: *stares at teacher with bewildered face.. girls giggling.. den boys will either continue staring, or put their middle finger on their lips..*

So incredible rite? things change so much over a few years.. den when u were young, if u sit with a girl in class, it's perfectly normal. coz everyone else is doing it.. now, if that happens, or even if u happen to be walking with a girl.. u will get teased.. last time, at most it was..

Friend B: AH HA!! henry walking with Jane!! haha..
Henry: oi.. don't say anything la.. if not i dun fren u ah.. (another classic..)
*den a group of frenz will suddenly appear*
Group of frenz with friend B: Henry and jane sitting under a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!

Trust me.. i swear that if u do it now, if u are above 15 yrs old and you do it now..

10 yrs later..

Friend B: haha!! henry, walking with girl ah.. not bad sia..
Henry: han na han na.. dun walk with girl walk with u meh?
*a group of frenz appear"
Group of frenz and friend B: Henry and Jane sitting under a tree! K....

he will only get as far as the K..

Anyway, this entry isnt suppose to be funny... i dunno why suddenly become funny.. i think its funny la.. dunno bout you.. but anyway, the point i am trying to bring across is that.. we have change a lot since the past.. and mostly its for the worse.. i will talk more about this is part 3.. coz this entry a bit too long liao.. so.. laugh while u can.. haha.. time for reflection next time.. bye..

scary rite?

I need to acknowledge the help of my two frenz jia jia( aka jia jie) and raphael.. Jia jia lent me his phone to take the pictures.. and raphael is the sleeve in the above picture. I was pretending to take a photo of raphael standing beside a goalpost but actually i was trying to take the picture of the old man.. Gd trick raph!!

hi everyone.. its me again.. got people comment i very long never post when it is only like one week.. Haiz.. young people nowadays are sooooo impatient.. den impatient nvm.. still got some spy my blog den dun wan to leave tag.. nvm.. like wat i said many many many many many many blog entries ago.. tags are not impt. the entries are..

Ok, let me start.. today was a day i muz blog about. coz i met two interesting and scary incidents. that's from my point of view.. anyway, i was studying in sch today.. den decided to go for a run.. den after running.. i proceeded home.. As i was approaching the school gate, which separates me from the everlasting freedom outside, a gust of wind blew at me and i felt an evil aura, or in spiderman terms, my "spiderman sense" was tingling. Den, the gate opened...


I paused momentarily to see the horror that awaits me at the gate..


And there it was..


An old uncle wearing a...


PINK SINGLET!!!(my hands are trembling at this moment when i used pink to type those words)


Luckily i got my composure in time, if not my mouth would have been hanging open. That uncle was about 70+ of age. And he walked gingerly into my school and smiling serenely at nothing in particular. To him, i was a completely contrast. I was 17+(18 to be exact), i was walking briskly OUT of school, and wasn't smiling(how could i smile if i see some old uncle wearing pink entering my school? COULD YOU?!!). it was horrifying..

Anyway, after calming myself down after such a terrible encounter, i walked to the bus stop(still shaking with fear) and took a bus home.. As the bus rumble down the road, i watch the people and trees go past the window i was looking at. Like any other bus, this particular bus stopped at a bus stop. And two maids and two kids(not older than 7 i presume) boarded the bus.. They sat opposite me..

They were sibilings(more assumptions coz they have the same type of eyes) and both seem persistant in holding a bus ticket. And when the sister refuse to give the brother the ticket, one of the maid took it out of the sister's hands and gave it to the brother. And it started to become interesting..

The brother felt that the sister was selfish, and the conversation begin..(try and picture two kids saying it a baby tone, the humour would be more evident)

Brother: you very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very SHELLFISH.(all in one breath)

Sister: you very very very very very very very very very SHELLFISH..(i guess girls have shorter breath)

Brother: you very very(he looked at me, i looked at him) very very BERY(he continued looking at me, i continued looking at him..) very very SHELLFISH.. (i thought i was going to die from stifling all my laughter..

Finally ,when i thought all is over when i finally reached my bus stop. And to my surprise, the TWO maids AND the TWO kids alighted at the same stop as me.. haha..

As i walked towards my home, and with a smile on my face, the same thing kept going through my mind, :"very very very...." for a very very very long time....


Anyway, gd job for those who went for atc.. glad that u guys enjoy yourself and i am sure u put in ur bestest effort.. =)

Henry Lamer and the School Of Mug

Hi everyone.. back again.. in the past 24 hours, i watched two interesting shows which gave some food for thought(no lame jokes here..).. One show is called "school of rock" staring funny man Jack Black, the other show i cant rmb at the moment.. i will blog about it if i rmb.. anyway, for those of you who did not had the opportunity to watch the movie. Let me give a brief synopsis..

"School Of Rock" is about an inspiring rock star, Dewey Finn(Jack Black) who got kicked out of his band due to his disgraceful stage antics such as stripping off his shirt and jump off into the stage into the crowd hoping to be body surfed. But he failed and landed on the ground instead. In a desparate attempt to find some money to pay the rent he owe his good fren, Ned Schneebly(Mike White), he imposted as Ned, who is working as a substitute teacher, one day and went to teach in a prestigious school. Starting out as a teacher who constantly gives recesses to his class, he discovered their musical talent on one occassion and decided to make use of his class to participate in a rock band competition with the winner's money in mind. He gave all of them roles and groom them into outstanding guitarist, drummers, singers, stage managers, lightings and effects managers, not forgetting that they are all 10 year old kids... However, due to some misfortune, his imposting was discovered and the chance to participate in the competition nearly failed. But was saved by his students, who were clearly influenced by their teacher's passion for rock. As always, the strict parents of students from prestigious schools was very outrage at the fact that their students were taught by some imposter for 3 weeks. However, after watching their performance in the competition, the parents were very impressed and realised how much their kids can achieve..

I was touched by the movie.. especially during the part when the School of rock(name of the band formed by the students) performed on stage. sounds gay but i felt tears in my eyes when i see the band enjoying themselves on stage, while putting out their best performance. The students truely believed what their teacher said at the beginning of their preparation, that "putting up a good show for everyone is more important than winning". Even though they were 10 year old kids, they understood what is passion..

But i think we need to know the deep lying meaning in the movie, that is what's wrong with alternative education? i was watching the movie and thinking "Dang, why cant i have such a cool relief teacher?" i find it very sad that at the start before Dewy taught them rock music, some of the kids were asking "Arent we going to do math?", "we can't get As if we keep having recess.".. and all of them were only interested in the competition coz Dewy tricked them into thinking that it was a school project.. I think that this scenario is exactly the same in our schools. Students are not interested in things not concerning their result slip, they would rather have Math than Civics and Moral Education, they would rather have Science than Art, they would rather be attending History lectures than going for field trips. No one believes in other situation. People look down on those so call "unorthodox" teaching methods. WHY? Do this people, or "the men" as mentioned in the movie, know what are the true talents of this kids? why muz every single kid born undergo the same type of education? why cant they learn what they like? i tot "the men" always say that "interest is the best teacher"? so is throwing the kids into schools and forcing them to learn what 1000 over other kids are learning able to ignite their interest?

Den people will argue, "no henry. U have to study so that u can have a gd future. U muz find the true motivation. U study for yourself, not for other people. " Den my question is this, so you will work hard, get a respectable certificate, find a job, pray hard u can work for 30 years, den retire and enjoy ur life before u die. If u mention the above sentence to the adults all over the world, i can assure u 80% of them will say "hey! it sounds like my life!" so if u go through the above mentioned process, will it bring u wat everyone is looking for: happiness?
