Henry Lamer and the Dark Lamer

hi everyone!! i'm back from taiwan!! but i wun be talking bout it in this entry due to my computer's persistence in not assisting me to edit the photos i took, which happens to be quite a lot. so for now, i juz wan to do a little bit of a review for a movie i juz watched.. yup.. u guessed it..

THE DARK KNIGHT

yup.. surprise u may be as to why i didnt use the batman version poster. the reasons i will explain later.. for now, pls bear wif me while i exclaim about how brilliant the film is. *ahem* here goes..

IT IS SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!! SUPER AWESOME!!

and yes it is! for those of u who have watched it, you will understand. and for those of you who haven, go catch it in the cinema near you. muz watch!! and to me, other than the awesome action and explosive effects, another factor that really made the film awesome...

him.. yup.. the late heath ledger.. haiz.. i bet if he did not pass away, he will win the best actor award for the next oscars. but for now, i will award him my very own "Best baddie" award. out of all the movies i have watched, all the baddies i have known, no one can beat the joker. oh ya, in case u all still do not know, heath ledger, the guy above, is the joker, in a photo even higher above. shocking rite?!! i didn't believe it myself either. look so different..

but anyway, he played the joker role fantastically. serious. he is so downright evil and twisted that i was so freaking impress.. and not only me, out there on the web and the rest of the world, many many people all feel that he deserves the oscar!

this is one of the fews videos i can find on youtube for you to witness his brilliance. half the time i dun even believe he is acting, i tot he is the joker indeed!! the way he pay attention to all the small details, like licking his lips at times, his small little actions, show his evil side, and at the same time let him live up to his nickname of "The Joker". u juz can't help laughing despite his evilness. and all the plans he had, and also freaking awesome. but i shall not spoil it here for you all. go watch it den u will understand. =) i was so impressed about his acting that i can't stop thinking bout it even till now! and the way the joker saves the batman juz to have fun and all his sadistic ideas all made the character a big success.

but lets be fair to the rest, the other actors were also pretty gd, batman, his humble butler alfred, batman's gear maker lucius fox all made the film a success. thier acting doesnt suck and hence adds on to the star rating of the film.

but i wud juz like to bring everyone's attention to another issue. coz thru the film, i learnt a few lessons too. i tot that the joker, sort of portray the evil side of everyone, the side that no one dares to show, but still shows it once in awhile. and yet, joker shows it all in the film. everyone possess it but i guess it takes courage to show it. like wat the joker experience in the movie, how wud anyone be able to be called "freak" all the time and yet not go crazy? Like the joker, such a person would be deem as an outcast. however, i'm not encouraging anyone to be evil. so dun misunderstand.

before i continue, muz say first, SPOILERS AHEAD. so stay away if u wan to enjoy the movie fully.

another lesson i learnt from the movie was the part where the joker planted 2 bombs in 2 separate ships. one ship consist of civilians, while the other consist of hard core criminals. both ships were give a detonator to blow up the other ship. and the joker told them for them to survive, they have to bomb up the other ship before 12 midnight, or else he will blow up both. initially, i was quite impressed with the joker's scheme. however, i started to wonder what exactly will happen.

coz in previous scenes, the joker mention quite a few times how the real side of a person will surface at the last moment before he die and the so called civilised people will actually someday ended up killing each other. so, i was thinking exactly who will press the detonator. of course, one wud assume the criminals will be fighting with the officers on board for the detonator since they are criminals. however, that didnt really happen. the so called "civilised" people actually voted to bomb the other ship and u can really see the "joker" side of everyone bubbling thru. and guess wat, the ending was unexpected. at about 1 minute before 12, one of the criminal told the officer in charge, "I know you do not wish to feel the guilt of killing hundreds and yet you do not want to die, pass me the detonator, and i wud do what u shud have done 10 minutes ago." so he took the detonator, and threw it out of the ship's window!!! wat a surprise!! and in the other ship, one of the civilians said, "no one wants to get their hands dirty, i will do it." after picking up the detonator, and sweating a lot in the process, he gave up and place the detonator back in the box. so in the end no one died. and batman told the joker, "there are good people in this world." which i think was quite true.

so it really sets me to think, the initial reaction everyone wud have before that scene wud be someone will die coz the other ship will want to survive. it sort of shows that all of us, agrees with me that there is evil in all of us and if one of the ship do get bombed, we'll think, "aiya, i knew it. people are evil." it shows how cynical we are towards people nowadays. however, thru the twist of events at the end, i believe the director and the scriptwriter is trying to tell us, there is still good in this world. do not believe everyone who is asking for donations are cheaters, do not believe everyone who looks evil are evil. believe that there is still good in all of us. laugh more, smile more, coz like wat the joker remind us time and time again..

oh.. here you are.. so sorry to keep u waiting.. everytime u turn up on this page, u were expecting something new rite? so sorry that i took such a loooooooong time to do this. but anyway like they say, better late than never rite? haha.. so forgive me k?

its been eons since i last blog.. mainly coz my ideas juz come and go, or they simply arrive in pieces, which i can't really arrange them into one nice entry.. so.. ya.. and rite now, i dun really know wat to type either. juz felt the need to update coz...

tml.. yup.. haha.. so i can finally take a break from my very enriching national service life and experience a different culture and at the same time take a break.. yup.. haha.. sounds great eh? i guess i can count myself lucky!

so if i rmb and is not too lazy, i will blog about my trip when i come back ya? =) but for now, let me see what i can blog about... hmmm... *searches the mental drawer, shuffling thru memories* eh...

ever since i was born, at different stage of my life, one question always pops up: What kinda girl do u like? whenever ppl ask me this, i will ponder a while, scratch my head and perhaps give some opinions on what kinda girls i like. and thru out my life, certain trends can be spotted among all my crushes. but i am not going to say wat.. haha. instead, i will juz share wat my dream girl will be like.. ok.. looks wise.. she muz be like..

anna hathaway.. *stares dreamily* i fell in love wif her while i was watching "get smart". i think she's probably the prettiest girl alive!! together wif..

liv tyler!! *stares dreamily again* both of them are very very pretty!!!

of course, as we all know, looks isn't everything.. and the girl that can sum up the character of the girl i like will be...

yup.. avil lavigne!! the best damn thing.. haha.. the reason why she appeals to me is because she's unique. i always stay by individuality. and the impression she gives me is that she doesn't care bout wat others think about her and she's juz being herself. i think thats really important. one should nvr be self conscious as everyone has their own gd points. =)

haha.. so thats it folks! the 3 women which sets the standard for Miss Lamer. yeah.. by now u muz be thinking i am crazy, dream on, no such person blah blah blah.. i totally agree wif u.. i also do not think such a person exist. so i will wan to remain single!!! haha.. see you soon!!
