Henry Lamer and the Entry before Departure
wow.. its been so long.. so sorry to all my readers(if there are any).. anyway, tot i will juz take this opportunity to blog since i will be flying overseas in a couple of hours time and its been so long since i last blog..
i sort of realise that coming wif a travel blog is not as easily as it is.. as in solely posting pictures does not necessary make ur entries more interesting.. coz over the past few weeks when i post about my taiwan trip, the viewership is not as high.. but den again, it could be becoz of other reasons...
like for example, now that it is close to exam period, most of my readers are either my juniors(studying for exams), ex clasmates or cca frenz(in ns or studying in uni or working).. so, i guess the time they have, compared to the past when we were all in sch, is much lesser.. so they have lesser time to relax, let alone to come and visit my blog.. so ya..
i guess as we grow older, the time we have for our frenz actually decreases.. i mean perhaps not to ur gd frenz, but more of like to all of ur frenz generally.. meaning, maybe last time, every week, u spent some time with all ur different frenz, ur classmates etc.. now that u are busy wif work, ns or schooling.. ur social circle sort of becomes deformed.. its no longer a circle, but more of a wobbly shape.. ever changing.. so u may acutally missed out on some of ur frenz.. coz now, not only do u have less time for them, ur social circle have to encompass new people u meet as well, and that's not easy.. given that all of us have a specific amount of time, but growing number of people to meet..
how many of u out there can truely say that u have kept in contact wif every single of ur frenz since ur childhood? no rite? it is practically impossible.. lets say u are free on one particular day, but ur frenz may not necessarily be.. so got my point?
hmmm... i realise as u grow older, u have to shoulder more responsibilities, not only towards ur family, but also to the new people u meet all the time.. meaning, u cannot juz focus on ur present social circle and try to refuse anyone else from entering it.. coz they, like everyone else u have already met, plays a certain role in ur life.. if u refuse them, u are refusing development to urself as well....
but nonetheless, as much as possible, smsing a simple hello or asking for ur frenz well being occasionally as well.. i am sure it is no difficult task, to pick up ur phone, type "hi! its been so long! how are you?" to any one in ur phone book that u have not talked to for a very long time.. and when u are on msn, is it so difficult to click anyone's name and say a simple hi? whats the point of keeping them in ur frenz's list but not chatting with them at all? rite?
so do keep in mind guys, u need ur frenz....

hi guys!! i am back!! yipee.. and on wif more pictures from my trip to taiwan.. my blog is getting laggier and laggier.. anyway, my next part of the trip brings me to Taipei 101, one of the tallest building in the world!! and i have to pay a pretty high price to get in too... =( but anyway, it was a pretty awesome view from the top..
anyway, this is how it looks like inside..

and from the top.. beautiful taiwan..
now, i can safely say i am quite tall as well..
and right now, introducing one of the most important object in Taipei 101...
ooops.. sorry, thats the cartoon version.. this si the real one..
yup.. its called a damper.. mainly use to control the balance of the building in strong winds or earthquakes.. yup.. some pics of the damper..
notice how thick the cables are..
another highlight of the building is the incredible lift, which takes about 30secs to travel 80 floors i think.. fast eh?
anyway, i saw this rather interesting sign..
and a little something about the damper..

so thats about all for Taipei 101, BUT my trip is not done yet.. my next entry will be on a hill i visited, called Yang Ming Shan.. it was another very exciting experience.. so stay tune!!
